Hawks Signing Day!
Signing Day Flyer
Sept 2nd The 2011 Hawks Player Signing day will be held on September 19th at 12:00 Noon at Middletown Smith Park.

All players and their families in the organization are expected to attend. Players will receive their 2011 player spiritwear pack, take their signing day photo, and participate in the grill-out picnic. Please click on the flyer above for all of the information and what the members of your team are supposed to bring.

Good Luck Hawks at Queen of Diamonds
Aug 19th - Best of luck to our Ohio Hawks players as they travel to Hofstra University in NY this weekend to participate in the Queen of Diamonds showcase. Allison Lenos and Kaylee Bush from the Hawks 95 - Pifer team will be giving it their best ... Hawk Power to you girls!

We will be adding many more locations and dates in the next several weeks. If you are interested in being contacted when the schedule is announced please register now and list the city in which you would like to attend a tryout. Please stop back often for updates!

Hawks Policy Update
May 21st - In the interest of our player safety, the Hawks board has voted to require all 10u and 12u infielders to wear full face protection during games / scrimmages that have a live pitcher and batter. We are the first large organization that we are aware of that has taken this step and we encourage others to join in.

We will contact Rip-it and Schutt to arrange a deal that will allow our players to get a preferred price on masks.


The Hawks welcome Wendy's!
May 15th - Wendy's has come on board as a sponser of the Ohio Hawks. They will provide softballs and awards for our tournaments next season -

Bill and Howard spent 3 hours Saturday night talking hitting with our coaches. It was an interesting and informative clinic. Bill returned Sunday morning and spent another 2 hours with us and a couple players demonstrating his hitting drills.

Congrat's to Ashley Riffle - Hawks 18u - she signed with Mt. Vernon Nazarene College and coach Jenna Howald. Ashley was signed as a pitcher.

The Hawks 14u team has accepted an invitation to play in the 2010 Queen of Diamonds tournament in South Carolina, Sept 4-5th. Congrat's!

Bill Hillhouse at HIT Center for Training
Bill Hillhouse will be at the HIT Center this winter to work with pitchers and throw BP to Hawks teams/hitters. Hawks teams wanting BP time are to contact Doug.

Bill Hillhouse was at the HIT Center Jan 1st and 2nd to work with Hawks pitchers and throw BP to Hawks teams/hitters.
2010 ACE Certification Announcement
Effective 2011 the Ohio Hawks coaches will be required to obtain Level 1 ACE certification. This will also provide for a background check and insurance coverage for our coaches. Our goal is to provide the best fastpitch experience for our players - this includes coaching, training and competition level. Our 2010 schedule will include many 'A' level tournaments for our squads to compete in.
